Alexandar Vassilev

Chief Executive Officer

Alexandar is the Chief Executive Officer of WeTransfer. His focus is on scaling the company through a global growth strategy rooted in product innovation and ensuring WeTransfer remains a true partner to creatives and creators in their ambition to build lasting, sustainable businesses.

A product leader by background, he joined as the Chief Product and Technology Officer, bringing together product and engineering across the company and expanding the brand’s footprint across the creative workflow. 

Having spent nearly a decade of his career at Google working on key monetisation products (including YouTube), Alexandar witnessed first-hand the first wave of creators turning to digital platforms to build their careers. Prior to WeTransfer, he led Joyn, a German entertainment streaming platform, serving as a CEO and Managing Director. 

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, alongside a CIS degree from Missouri Southern State University.

Melissa Nussbaum

Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

Melissa Nussbaum is WeTransfer’s Chief Operating Officer & Chief Finance Officer. Within this dual role, Melissa works across the business with a focus on sustainable growth, strategic planning and fostering an inclusive environment where great work happens. She leads multiple functions across WeTransfer including HR, Marketing, Business Performance, Legal and Finance.

Melissa joined WeTransfer in 2020 having spent seven years at King, the maker of Candy Crush, where she led Finance and Strategy, and held a leading role during both its IPO in 2014 and eventual sale to Activision Blizzard in 2016. Prior to King, Melissa worked at PwC for 12 years, as a Director working first in Audit followed by Capital Markets Consulting in Belgium, France, Canada and the UK.

She has led multiple financing rounds, acquisitions, and expansions for WeTransfer and King, and has a strong background in finance, having earned a CPA and a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University.

Damian Bradfield

Chief Creative and Sustainability Officer

Damian Bradfield is the Co-Founder turned Chief Creative and Sustainability Officer of WeTransfer. Since 2010, he has been Chief Strategy Officer, set up the US offices and created award-winning digital arts platform WePresent. He was the co-founder of digital design studio, Present Plus, which WeTransfer acquired in 2015.

Damian is a published author of books titled 'The Trust Manifesto' and 'Algorithmic Reality', which debate online privacy, trust and big data. He is the host of Influence podcast and chairman of WeTransfer's The Supporting Act Foundation, as well as a trustee for the Sarabande Foundation.

Damian started his career at Stella McCartney before joining ad agencies AMV and later, J Walter Thompson. He holds a degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Damon Dean

Chief Product Officer

Damon spearheads product management, user experience and data teams at WeTransfer.

Based in San Francisco, he spent eight years at DocuSign, leading on its advanced technology efforts including machine learning, blockchain and biometrics. Most recently, he was at OneLogin, where he was responsible for leading and growing the product management, customer experiences and solutions architecture teams.

Damon has also held advisory roles at SILQ Finance and Sendoso, building SaaS products, demand generation best-practices, scaling businesses and laying the foundations for growth for both up-and-coming and established players. As a true creative, his career spans publishing, video game making, start-ups and agencies among other executive roles.

Angelique Temple

Chief Marketing Officer

Angelique joined WeTransfer in June 2022 to drive awareness of the wide-ranging suite of creative workflow features, support the growth of the subscription offering and deliver campaigns that increase engagement with the loyal creative customer base of the platform.

Angelique has more than over a decade of experience developing and delivering marketing strategies and campaigns for high-growth global tech and media brands, including WeWork and Zeta Global among others.

An Australian native, Angelique has made her home in New York over the past seven years as a leader in the data-driven marketing space. She holds a Master in Communications Management & PR.

Dan Conti

Chief Technology Officer

Dan is an accomplished engineering leader with a history of building successful products and great teams.

Prior to joining WeTransfer, he spent 15 years at Microsoft delivering user experience, human interaction, developer experience, and device connectivity technologies across HoloLens 2, Cortana, Surface, and Windows.

Before this he began his career in startups, working on embedded systems and A/V playback systems.

He holds a degree in Computer Science from Western Washington University.

Adam Mitton

General Counsel

Adam heads up the WeTransfer’s legal team, supporting the company and its growth.

Adam's experience includes eight years at video game developer King, most recently as Deputy Chief Legal Officer and Vice President in parent company Activision Blizzard’s EMEA legal team. Prior to that, he was a partner at a leading UK media and entertainment law firm Harbottle & Lewis, advising clients across industries e-commerce, digital technology, advertising and interactive entertainment.

Adam holds a BA in Law from the University of Cambridge and Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Bristol in the UK.

Martha Lane Fox (Chair)

Co-founded lastminute.com and the charitable foundation, Antigone. Martha was appointed as a crossbench peer in the House of Lords and Chancellor of the Open University in 2014. She is also the founder of DotEveryone, a think tank focused on championing responsible technology. Martha sits on the Boards of Twitter and Chanel and is recognized globally for her services to the digital economy and charity.

Bas Beerens is the founder of WeTransfer. Also the founder of Oy Communications and WeMarket, Bas is currently a consultant for a wide range of companies and an active investor with the Dutch Founders Fund.

Irena Goldenberg is a co-founder and partner at Highland Europe, a growth-stage technology fund. Irena represents Highland Europe on the boards of eGym, Jampp, JUNIQE, Smartly.io, Supermetrics, WeTransfer, and Wolt.

Tony Zappalà is a partner at Highland Europe, who represents the company on the boards of WeTransfer, Contentsquare, Jellysmack, and Zwift. Prior to joining Highland, Tony worked with Index Ventures, where he was part of the team which raised and invested in the firm’s first dedicated Growth fund.

Manfred Krikke

Manfred Krikke is a Managing Partner of HPE Growth, one of the leading European technology growth investment firms. He has over 25 years of technology experience as an entrepreneur, investment banker and investor, primarily in Silicon Valley, where he managed over 30 transactions in the technology sector, with an aggregate value of over $2 Billion, including 16 Nasdaq IPOs. He serves on the boards of EGYM, Uberall, TNO’s private equity board and of course WeTransfer. Manfred earned a master’s degree in Business Economics from the Vrije University in Amsterdam.

Brad Brooks

Bradford L. Brooks is currently the CEO of the cyber defense company Censys. Previously Brad was CEO at OneLogin, a global leader in identity management and has held senior executive level positions at DocuSign, Juniper Networks and Microsoft over the last 20 years. Brad’s extensive experience across multiple technology sectors, and his extensive executive leadership experience in technology product management, sales and marketing have provided him with a deep understanding of high technology business matters.
