  • What is WeTransfer for Teams?
    Get ready to experience WeTransfer together with your whole team! Got a big project you're working on and needing some extra hands to help? Now you can create teams within your WeTransfer Premium or Pro account.  We have taken on board the feedback we've received from people regarding creating a teams option with a WeTransfer subscription and are now taking the first steps to introduce this function.Not only do your team members have all the offerings that a WeTransfer Premium or Pro account has, but you’re the team captain!Transfer size Premium users You'll be able to send transfers of your preferred size. Which means that there aren't any limits.  You've read it right, no limit. Pro users You'll then be able to send transfers up to 200 GB or unlimited transfers in size with each of your transfers, that's way more than 100x the size offered when transferring with the free service. Storage Premium users Unlimited storage. No limits here either. Pro users You can store up to 1 TB of sent transfers from your WeTransfer page. From there, you can access them whenever you like.Shared Transfer Overview & Sending/ReceivingAll team members are able to see and manage all active transfers. Transfers sent & received by any team members show up in your transfer overview panel.Sending Each team member can send transfers from their own email address. All sent transfers will be visible in the sent transfer overview for everyone. You can also search by the sender to make things clearer.Anyone can also edit or delete these in your transfer overview panel.Receiving Senders can only upload transfers through the team's WeTransfer page and only the original admin's email address will receive email notifications of content sent to the team. It is currently not possible to send to individual members of the team so that they also receive a notification.All files received will end up in the received tab of the shared transfer overview panel.Custom team name You are able to choose any team name up to a limit of 50 characters, so let your imagination run wild!By default your team will be your first name's team, if we don't have a first name in the database it will be your full name.Example: If the name on your account is Support Help, then the team name will automatically become Support’s Team.Custom team URL page, shared wallpapers & email branding You can brand your team page as you wish and also choose a custom URL/WeTransfer domain. The wallpapers uploaded to this URL are shared with the whole team, keeping everyone on brand.Example: https://supporthelp.wetransfer.comTeams Switcher (how to switch between your teams/personal account in the navigation settings) You can be a part of as many teams as you wish. This could be two company teams and your own personal team for example. You can switch between teams using the account drop-down navigation on the right.   • How do I set up a Team?
    WeTransfer is predominantly known for the seamless, secure transfer of large files. But that’s not all; over time, we are constantly adding new features to foster collaboration and become more than just file-sharing software.With the teams feature, WeTransfer can be used as a tool to send and receive quick messages, share photos with friends and family, or even collaborate on large projects with your team members and clients.Set up your team Setting up your team on WeTransfer is a quick and easy process. You can do it by following these simple steps:
    1. Log in to your WeTransfer Premium or WeTransfer Pro account. If you don't have one already, go ahead and create an account by clicking on "Sign up" at the top right of our homepage.
    2. Once logged in, click on the name icon located in the upper right corner of your screen; a window will open with sub-menu items. 
    3. Click on "Invite team". 
    4. Click on the pencil icon to add the name of your team.
    5. Click on "Email" to add the email address of your team member.
    6. You can add more team members by clicking on "+". You can add as many team members as you want.
    Note: Please be aware that for each team member, you will pay per month or year, depending on your membership. The currency you will be charged in varies according to your location.
    1. After you've finished adding all of the team members, click "Send Invite" to have an invitation sent to your team member  via email.
    2. Next, you must confirm that you are okay with the pricing to proceed. With the confirmation, you will be agreeing to our Terms, Conditions, and privacy policy.
    3. Upon confirming the pricing, you will see a confirmation at the top of your screen telling you that your team member has been successfully added.
    4. To switch between teams, go to the account drop-down navigation menu on the right and click on the team you want to view. 
    Fast Facts
    1. To see an overview of who is on your team, click on your team and scroll down; a list of names who are members of your team will appear.
    2. All your team members will have all the offerings that a WeTransfer Premium or WeTransfer Pro account has.
    3. All your team members will see and be able to manage all active file transfers.
    4. As the creator of the team, you're the owner and the team captain. You will have access to all portals and all reviews.
    5. All the files transferred and received by any team member will appear on your transfer overview panel.
    6. You can brand your team page by setting a custom background or even a custom URL. Even your team emails can have custom branding.
    7. You can be a part of as many teams as you wish without making further payments. For example, you can be a part of your work team, school team, and even the family team.
    That’s it! Now you have your own WeTransfer team where you can share files, photos, and messages with friends, schoolmates, family and colleagues.
  • How to create my team's branding?
    Keep everyone on the same (perfectly styled) page We at WeTransfer think that setting up your team's branding shouldn't be too difficult, but since we should never ever take things for granted, we have created this article where you'll find the easy-to-follow steps to get started. Now you can keep the whole team looking fresh!Claiming your WeTransfer URL  This is how it all starts and where all the magic happens.Your own team's page and customized URL/WeTransfer domain can be easily set up by following the instructions here. Or, if you're already logged into your Pro account, you can just click here and you'll be redirected right into your Branding pageSetting up backgrounds for your emails The instructions to set up your email backgrounds can be found herejust remember that these backgrounds are all shared amongst the team members with the idea of having a consistent theme for your WeTransfer's branded account.However, each team member is still able to give their emails a personal touch by adding an avatar to them.Setting up your branded WeTransfer wallpapers If your company has any new flashy images from the latest press release kit, then you can easily add these by following the instructions here (just remember to follow the image and video specs). It's worth mentioning that the wallpapers uploaded to your branded page are shared with the whole team, keeping everyone under the same brand's umbrella.
  • How to manage my Team?
    Add/invite a new team member Anyone on the team can add a team member, whether they are an admin or not but only the original admin will be charged.First, make sure you are signed in to your WeTransfer account and then:
    • Click on your Account name in the top left and then click on 'Account'
    • Click on 'Invite team'
    • On the next screen enter the email address of the person you would like to invite and click 'Send Invite'
    When you send an invite to someone, they will receive an email notification containing a link that will allow them to accept the invite.You will also receive a confirmation email once someone has accepted the invitation to join your team.Revoke an invitation You can always revoke (or resend) an invitation should you change your mind, and also remove team members.
    • On the teams' settings page, scroll down and you will see the members of your team and people that have been sent invites
    • Click the 3 dots (...) next to their name
    • Click 'revoke' or 'remove', to revoke the invitation or remove a member from your team
    Remove a team member
    • Click on your Account name in the top left and then click on 'Account'
    • Click on 'team Settings'
    • Scroll down till you see the team member you wish to remove and click on the ellipsis (...) next to their name, then select 'Remove' from the drop-down menu. 
    • Confirm your decision in the pop-up window and you are done! 
    The fees associated with the member will be refunded as a deduction on your next invoice (on a pro-rata basis).How much will this cost? Inviting new members to your team will cost you an additional 12 USD/EUR per month or 120 USD/EUR per year if you have a WeTransfer Pro subscription, or 23 USD/EUR per month or 228 USD/EUR per year if you have a WeTransfer Premium subscription. If someone joins partway through a month, you will be charged pro-rata.In case you remove a member from your team the fees associated with this member will be refunded as a deduction on your next invoice (on a pro-rata basis).Here are the steps that you can take to find out the current cost of your subscription, its renewal date, and the costs incurred for additional team members - all from your account settings: 
    • Make sure you are logged into your WeTransfer account and click your username on the top right corner. 
    • From there, click "Account" (the last option), and then click "Payment" from the list below.

This person owns the team account in terms of centralized billing and is financially responsible for the subscription. An admin can make another member an admin, but only the original admin will be responsible for payments still. The admin has permission to remove members from the team.member is a permission level that allows the user to do everything an admin can do apart from removing a team member. They can view billing and receipts but they are not financially responsible for the payment.
  • How can I see my team’s transfer panel?
    Welcome to your team's transfer panel!  Here, your team can find all information about all transfers that are sent to and from your account.Your team's transfer panel is organised by 'Sent' and 'Received' panels. You can easily navigate between the two to get quick access to all information about your transfers, both sent to and from your team. Sent Each team member can send transfers from their own email address. This can be found when you click on 'Transfers' at the top, in the navigation bar, you'll always land on your Sent panel first; this is where you can manage your 1TB storage, forward your transfers, or change their expiry date. You can even check if a transfer has been downloaded or not - just click on the transfer title.The Sent panel overview also covers all the things you'd expect, like organising, searching, or deleting (single or multiple) transfers, so you can be super organised. Received Transfers sent to you via your Profile will show up in your Transfers overview, under the ‘Received’ column.Here, you’ll be able to view a chronological list of each transfer that has been sent to you, named automatically after your sender, so they’re always easily identifiable. You’ll also be able to see at a glance when exactly that transfer landed in your account, as well as when they’re going to expire, and whether you’ve already downloaded the transfer or not.By hovering over the transfer, you'll be able to download, preview, or copy the link leading to that transfer.Who in my team can access this information? Sending All sent transfers will be accessible and visible to all members of a team from your sent panel. This allows for easy collaboration between team members and means that all members of a team can edit and delete transfers that are under your sent panel. This includes the names and expiry dates for your transfers. Receiving All received transfers can be accessed by all team members and are visible from your received panel. However, since each team must have an administrator - all email notifications for incoming transfers will only be sent to the admin's email address. It is currently not possible to send to individual members of a team. How do others send transfers to our team? With teams, you have the chance to create your own Profile Page for your team and claim your own Profile URL. By claiming your very own profile URL, you can provide this link to your friends, clients, and colleagues which will allow them to upload and send transfers without limits if you have a WeTransfer Premium subscription or up to 200GB if you have a WeTransfer Pro subscription even if they don't have a WeTransfer account! Looking for more information about the features of your teams' Profile? Look no further! Click here. Storage Premium No limits, babe. Pro Do we all share 1TB storage? Nope! With teams for Pro, each team member can take advantage of their own 1 TB of storage. This means that for a team of 6 members, your total storage would be 6 TB. You can find more information about the storage under your account, here. How can we personalise our team account?  Personal avatars With your teams account, each member gets their chance to shine through adding a small picture of themselves or their favourite image which will be shown at the top of all transfer emails. To upload your avatar each member can go to the Account section of your team's WeTransfer account, here you'll see the 'Upload Avatar' option at the top of your panel. Instructions can be found, hereTeam Wallpapers Your team can keep on brand through uploading team wallpapers which will do a wonderful job of personalising your team's Profile page. All wallpapers are shared with the whole team, so all members can take their pick from 5 different profile wallpapers. If you're wondering how - look no further!
