Transfer availability is specified by the sender when uploading the files.
Availability by plan
- Free and Starter plans: uploads can be kept online for up to 3 days.
- Ultimate subscription: keep transfers active for as long as you'd like.
- The availability period is calculated from the exact moment the transfer is sent.
You can always change the expiry date of a transfer via the transfer overview in your account.
After expiry
If you've missed the download window and the transfer has expired, don't worry. You can now recover expired transfers if the feature has been enabled when creating the transfer.
Important: if you cancel or downgrade your paid subscription, all active transfers will be deleted 28 days after the cancellation occurs. You will no longer be able to download or recover these files after this time.
Branded page uploads
Files sent through someone else's WeTransfer page are available for 30 days. These transfers will be saved in the transfer overview of the account holder.
