How do I track and manage my file requests?

To manage and download your requested files, follow these steps.

Manage a file request

  1. Navigate to Transfers in the navigation bar at the top.
  2. Go to the Requested section.
  3. Hovering over the requested item gives you these options:
  • Copy link to share the request again.
  • Close request to stop receiving new transfers. Anyone who visits the link will see a message that the request is not available.
  • Delete to remove the request entirely. Note: this action cannot be undone. The file request never expires unless you delete it — though the transfers people send to it do expire according to your plan.

Access received files

Once someone uploads files to your request and taps to transfer, you'll receive an email notification letting you know the files are ready for download.

Tapping the requested item will bring you to a search bar in the Received section. Open the item to see its details and download the files.

Transfers uploaded to a file request use the default expiration period of your plan — the person who created the request, not the uploader:

  • Ultimate and Teams plans: transfers expire after 30 days
  • Starter or Free plans: transfers expire after 3 days

If you're on Ultimate or Teams, you can change the expiration date by opening the received transfer in the Received tab and adjusting it there.
