How to remove an incorrect recipient address

If you've entered an incorrect recipient address, here's how to fix it depending on where the issue is.

Before sending

If you notice the wrong address is in the recipient field before sending, hover over it and click the X that appears to remove it.

Remove from Contacts

If the misspelled address is saved in your Contacts, go to the Contacts tab, hover over the contact, and select Delete.

Clear browser autofill

If your browser is suggesting a misspelled address in the autocomplete dropdown, the best fix is to clear your browser's cookies and cache — this removes any saved autofill data. Note: clearing cookies and cache will also remove other autofilled information, saved passwords, and browsing history.

After sending

If the transfer has already been sent, there's no need to create a new one. Share the download link directly with the correct recipient instead. You'll find the link by going to the Transfers tab, hovering over the transfer, and clicking Copy link — or in the upload confirmation email you received when you sent the transfer.

Note: if the recipient downloads using a shared link rather than the email, you won't receive a download confirmation email.
