You can add an extra layer of protection to your files by adding a password to your transfers.
How passwords work
To ensure the highest level of protection possible, the password you add is stored in a secure format but cannot be reversed by us. This means it's your responsibility to remember and share the password with your recipient or recipients, and we will not be able to help with password retrieval if it slips your mind.
Setting a password when uploading
When uploading a file, fill in the Password field.
Setting a password after sending
Go to your Transfers overview panel, select the transfer you'd like to set a password for, and click Set password.
Other notes
- We don't have any restrictions on passwords — you can enter anything you like in the field.
- Passwords are case-sensitive.
- To change or remove a password, select the transfer in your transfer overview page and click Change or Remove.
