Paying subscribers only pay Stripe fees which are ($0.20 + 1.5%) per transaction. Free users incur an additional 5% WeTransfer platform fee, per transaction.
1. Set up your account on desktop
We’ve partnered with Stripe for an easy, secure way to get paid. Simply connect your Stripe account (or create one for free) to get started.
2. Pick your price
Upload files the way you normally do, only this time you get to set a price too. Customize your transfer by adding a personal background, branding, and your social links.
3. Deliver work and get paid
Share your files with clients via email, or reach an even wider audience by posting a custom link. Either way, they’ll be asked to pay before downloading your work.

- Who can sell files?
Selling files is now available in Beta for all Wetransfer account users in the United States and Canada only.

- Why sell files on WeTransfer?
Selling your files on WeTransfer is a simple and secure method of distributing anything you create. Whether it's client work, creative content, or digital products all from a single platform. This feature is currently in beta and is only available in the United States and Canada.
- How do I manage sales and get paid?
Track your sales and receive payments in Stripe. Access all your transactions, including successful payments, pending transactions, and refunds.
Receive payments between 2 to 7 business days after a successful purchase.
- Are there any transaction fees?
In short, yes. WeTransfer takes a fee depending on your subscription. If you have a Free plan, you will be charged 5%. For Transfer plan user, it will be 3%. You won’t be charged any fees at all if you have Collaborate or Distribute subscription. Additionally, Stripe has its set of fees that apply depending on your location (learn how much here)
- How easy is it to set up?
Getting started is as easy as sharing a file. We've partnered with Stripe to bring your customers a smooth and responsive checkout experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop, and allow them to pay with all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Afterpay/Clearpay. Simply connect your WeTransfer account to a new or existing Stripe business account via the Integrations Page, and that’s it. If you get lost, go to our Help Center or get help from Stripe directly.
