Everyone at WeTransfer has been deeply saddened and horrified by the invasion in Ukraine and we join the global response calling for peace.
WeTransfer exists to serve the global creative community, and we have been continuously monitoring the situation in order to keep our services running for those creatives in Russia who rely on us to share their ideas and their work.
However, as the tragedy has continued to unfold and Russian aggression - particularly against civilians - has increased, we no longer feel it is tenable to continue our services in Russia or Belarus. This will be a blow to our user base but we cannot stand by and do nothing.
Furthermore we cannot take the risk that our products or services might be used to support this war. As a result, WeTransfer has suspended the use of all of our products and services in Russia and Belarus, including halting all new sales with immediate effect. This builds on our earlier decision not to take any advertising for or from those markets.
Additionally, we have donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross on behalf of all of our employees and have dedicated wallpaper ads across our platform to urge our global user base to do the same.
