WeTransfer and the Thunderbird team have partnered to make the sharing and sending of big ideas easier than ever. This time, through email.
The latest version of the Thunderbird email client built by the Thunderbird community under the Mozilla Foundation, now supports WeTransfer’s file-sharing service. This allows users to send up to 2GB of files for free: without leaving their email and without signing up for anything.
The integration works by opening WeTransfer in the Thunderbird app whenever a user tries to send a large email attachment.
Mozilla (stylized as moz://a) is an open source software community founded in 1998. The community uses, develops, spreads and supports Mozilla products, thereby promoting exclusively free software and open standards.

In 2018, WeTransfer and Mozilla announced the integration of file-sharing with WeTransfer into Mozilla’s web browser Firefox. With the WeTransfer integration into Thunderbird, it will be easier than ever to share ideas directly from the email client.
