Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security step you can take to add an extra layer of identification to access your WeTransfer account.

2FA keeps your account extra secure. Here's how to set it up:

Download an authentication app to your mobile device. This will be used to generate a code to log into your WeTransfer account. We recommend Google Authenticator for Android or iOS.

Once you've downloaded the app, navigate to this area of your WeTransfer account to turn 2FA on: click on your profile name/icon > Account > Profile and security > Turn on.

Open up Google Authenticator and click the + icon. Scan the barcode on your screen, and enter the 6-digit code that follows.

2FA is now enabled on your account. The next time you log in, you'll be asked to enter a code via your authenticator app. These codes refresh automatically after 30 seconds and are valid for 60 seconds.

If you'd like to disable two-factor authentication on your WeTransfer account, click Turn off while in your Profile and security panel.

You'll be asked to enter your account's password to confirm, or to enter a verification code sent to you via email, and you're done.
