How to report a security vulnerability or bug

We appreciate you taking the time to report an issue you’ve found with WeTransfer. Reports from our users and security researchers help us improve our platform and keep our community safe.

Reporting a security vulnerability

If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability, the fastest way to get your report to the right team is to submit it through our Responsible Disclosure program, hosted on HackerOne.

You can submit your report here:

WeTransfer Responsible Disclosure Program

You can also learn more about our Responsible Disclosure policy here:

We review all submissions carefully. If your report demonstrates a meaningful security impact, it may be eligible for a reward through our vulnerability disclosure program.

What information should I include?

To help our team investigate your report as quickly as possible, please include:

  • A clear description of the issue
  • The steps needed to reproduce the problem
  • Any relevant screenshots, videos, or logs
  • The affected product, feature, or service
  • The potential impact of the issue

Other bugs or product issues

If you’ve found a non-security-related bug (for example, a feature not working as expected, an error message, or unexpected behavior), please check out our Troubleshooting section.
