This article is for users who have received an email with the subject: "Your WeTransfer account is moving to [Company]'s Enterprise plan".
What's happening to my account?
Your employer has subscribed to WeTransfer Enterprise and added your email address to it. Your personal account will be closed, and you will become a member of your employer's Enterprise workspace.
When will this happen?
- 30 days after the date of the email we sent you. The exact date is in that email.
- On that date, your personal account will be closed.
- After that date, you'll use WeTransfer through your employer's Enterprise account, with the same email address.
Can I join the Enterprise workspace sooner? I want the account benefits now.
- Yes. You will be shown a pop-up when you next log in to WeTransfer, that asks whether you would like to join the Enterprise workspace immediately. To do so, simply click 'Join workspace'.
- You will still be able to download a list of your previous transfers until the end of the 30-day period, by sending a privacy request at https://privacy.bendingspoons.com/topic/wetransfer.
What happens to my files on the migration date?
- Your personal account will be closed.
- The files and transfers in it will no longer be accessible.
How do I download my files before the migration date?
- Go to wetransfer.com and sign in with the email address in your migration email.
- You should see a pop-up appear. Click 'download transfers' to download a list of all the transfers that you have sent and received.
- This list contains the name of each transfer, the message, the link to the transfer, and the date it was sent.
- You can download your files by clicking on each transfer's URL and downloading the files.
- Please note that you can only download transfers that have not yet expired.
Will my employer see my old files?
- No. Your employer cannot see the files or transfers from your personal account.
- This data is not part of your employer's Enterprise workspace.
- Only the data that you send after the migration date will be part of the Enterprise workspace, and therefore visible to your employer.
I'm on a paid plan - will I get a refund?
- Yes, if you're on a Starter, Ultimate, or Teams plan.
- We'll refund the unused portion of your subscription pro-rata to your original payment method.
- The refund is processed automatically after the migration date. You don't need to do anything.
What are my privacy rights?
- You can exercise your privacy rights at any time.
