AMSTERDAM — 28 July, 2023 — WeTransfer and JUNGLE release a first-of-its-kind immersive interactive music video for ‘Back on 74’, the latest single from the British producer duo’s forthcoming album ‘Volcano’ (11th August).

While ‘Back on 74’ continues JUNGLE’s unique visual aesthetic with its intricately crafted choreography, audacious one-take photography and joyous merger between music and movement — it’s a film experience that breaks new ground within the music video world.

This revolutionary music video works like an interactive art gallery, with viewers able to download works of art as they watch. When the viewer claims an artwork they like, it is pulled from the canvas in real time, revealing a blank canvas in its place. Every viewing of the video populates with six different art pieces, pulled from a bank of 10,000 unique works created by JUNGLE’s J. Lloyd. This ‘roulette’ creates a different viewing experience for each person, one that constantly adapts according to viewer interaction.

As part of the downloads, fans have a chance to win one of the 100 plus tickets to a JUNGLE concert from their 2023 headline US and European tour this fall, for free.

JUNGLE says, “We are delighted to announce the release of the one-of-a-kind music video experience for our new single 'Back On 74'', part of our ongoing partnership with our friends at WeTransfer. The technology underpinning the video has allowed us to engage and interact with our fanbase on a new level, as well as broadening the creative parameters that we are able to work within.”

The original music video, directed by J Lloyd & Charlie Di Placido of Contentus Maximus, was integrated by WeTransfer’s in-house Creative Studio in collaboration with Emmy Award-winning Nexus Studios into this interactive experience. Using proprietary technology and design, this fan-focused innovation marks the first time a music video allows in-frame downloads where fans can seamlessly add artwork from the video directly to a WeTransfer interface.

The video for ‘Back on 74’ marks the final drop from the JUNGLE and WeTransfer collaboration ahead of the release of ‘Volcano’ on 11th August, during which fans have been able to download exclusive content from WeTransfer for free. These have previously included album artwork, music stems, and a zine with behind-the-scenes material, designed to enable JUNGLE to connect with their fans directly.

These ‘drops’ were inspired by the organic creator activity WeTransfer has seen for the past decade, particularly from musical artists ranging from Prince to SAULT, who have used WeTransfer as a trusted distribution platform to share music and other related content with their community. Through its commissioning arm WePresent, the platform has developed long-standing relationships with creators, establishing itself as a creative partner to some of the world’s most talented artists across music, film photography and more.

Angelique Temple, Chief Marketing Officer, WeTransfer says, “This year, WeTransfer came on as producers for the music videos from JUNGLE’s ‘Volcano’ album, dropping exclusive content to their fans for free. Being a creative partner of this scale and helping to bring a music album to life is a testament to the trust we’ve built with creators in the last decade. With this partnership, we’re showing the potential of our platform to enable closer connections between creators and their audiences and offer a playful canvas for how they share their work with the world.”

This collaboration is the first of many future ‘Drops’ where WeTransfer celebrates its long standing relationship with the creators who continue to fuel the platform’s ecosystem, by partnering with them to develop bespoke experiences where artists can share exclusive content with their fans.
