Yes. Recipients never need to sign up or log in to download a transfer. They just open the link and download the ZIP directly. The only requirement is on the sender's side — you need a free WeTransfer account to send files.
On a free account, you can send ZIPs up to 3 GB. On the Ultimate plan and above, there's no transfer size limit, so you can send ZIP archives of any size without splitting them up or finding workarounds.
You have two options. You can add a password to the transfer so only someone with that password can download the ZIP. You can also restrict access to specific email addresses, meaning the link only works for the people you name. Both options are available on all plans.
Before sending, you can enable download tracking on the transfer. Once it's on, you'll see exactly who downloaded the file and when. It's a simple way to confirm receipt without having to chase your client for a response.
On a free account, transfers expire after a maximum of 3 days and cannot be recovered. On the Ultimate plan, you can set transfers to never expire, so your client can always come back to download the ZIP whenever they need it. Ultimate also lets you recover expired transfers retroactively, even ones that expired before you upgraded.
