Yes. Recipients can preview video files directly in the browser before they download anything. That means a client can check they're looking at the right edit or deliverable without having to pull down the full file first, which saves everyone time when footage files are large.
No. WeTransfer sends files exactly as you upload them — no re-encoding, no resolution loss, no compression. Your client receives the footage in the same quality you exported it, including 4K and higher resolutions.
On the free plan, you can send up to 3 GB per transfer. On the Ultimate plan and above, there's no transfer size limit, so you can send full-resolution footage, long-form edits, or entire project folders without worrying about file size.
You can add a password to any transfer so only someone with the password can access the files. You can also restrict access to specific email addresses, which means even if the link gets forwarded, only the people you've approved can download the footage.
On the free plan, transfers expire after a maximum of 3 days and cannot be recovered. On the Ultimate plan, you can set transfers to never expire, so your client can always come back to re-download the footage whenever they need it. Ultimate also lets you recover transfers that have already expired, even ones that expired before you upgraded.
