Recipients can view images directly in the browser without downloading a single file, which is useful when you've sent a full listing shoot and a client wants to pick out their favourites before committing to a download. They can also leave comments on individual photos and mark favourites, so feedback lands on the exact shot it refers to rather than getting lost in an email thread.
No. WeTransfer sends every file in its original state with no compression, no re-encoding, and no resolution loss. Whether you're delivering RAW files from a DSLR, high-resolution JPEGs, or edited TIFFs, clients receive them exactly as you shot and processed them.
Enable download tracking before you hit send and WeTransfer will notify you the moment a recipient downloads the transfer. For email transfers you can also see a per-recipient status in your Transfers panel, so you know exactly who has the files and when they accessed them, without having to follow up to confirm delivery.
There are two ways to control access. You can add a password to any transfer, which means only recipients who have the password can open the files, or you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses so the download link only works for approved contacts. Both options are available on all plans and can be set before you send or adjusted afterwards from your Transfers panel.
On an Ultimate plan, you can set up a branded WeTransfer page with your logo, a custom subdomain, and up to five rotating background images or videos, giving clients a consistent, professional landing experience when they receive your files. You can also add a custom background image and description to individual transfers, which works well for presenting a specific listing or portfolio to a developer or agency client.
