No. WeTransfer sends files exactly as they are, with no compression or re-encoding. Your images arrive at the same resolution and colour fidelity as the originals, whether you're sending RAW files, high-res JPEGs, or TIFFs.
Yes. Recipients can browse and preview images directly in the browser before downloading anything. They can also mark favourites and leave comments on individual photos, which makes feedback rounds a lot easier.
On the free plan you can send up to 3 GB per transfer, which covers a solid number of high-res images. On the Ultimate plan there is no transfer size limit, so you can send an entire shoot in one go without splitting anything up.
You can enable download tracking on any transfer. When a client opens and downloads the files, you get a record of exactly when it happened. It's a simple way to stay on top of deliveries without having to chase anyone.
You have two options. Password protection lets you lock the transfer behind a password you share separately with your client. Restricted access goes further and ties the download link to one or more specific email addresses, so only those recipients can open the transfer.
