Photographers and videographers put serious work into every shoot. WeTransfer makes sure the delivery matches that standard, sending your video files at full original quality with the tools to present, protect, and confirm every handoff.
Send files to clients, stress-free
When a client is waiting on footage, the last thing you want is a clunky delivery experience that undersells your work. WeTransfer sends video files exactly as you exported them, with no re-encoding and no resolution loss, so 4K clips, RAW formats, and finished edits all arrive in their original state. Before downloading anything, clients can watch your footage directly in the browser, leave comments on individual files, and mark their favorites, making the review process feel collaborative rather than transactional. You can add a branded background and custom description to any transfer, so the delivery carries your visual identity from the first click. Password protection and restricted access to named email addresses mean sensitive client work stays between the people who are supposed to see it.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. Recipients can preview video files directly in their browser without downloading anything first. WeTransfer supports in-browser playback for MP4 and MOV files, so your clients can scrub through footage, confirm they have the right takes, and choose to download only what they need. They can also comment on individual files and mark favorites, which keeps feedback organized in one place.
No. WeTransfer never re-encodes or compresses your video files. Whatever you upload, whether it's a 4K master, a ProRes export, or raw camera footage, is exactly what the client receives. The preview your client sees in the browser is displayed at a slightly lower resolution to load quickly, but the actual downloaded file is always the original.
Enable download tracking before you hit send and WeTransfer will notify you the moment a recipient downloads the transfer. For email transfers, you can see a checkmark against each recipient's address in your Transfers panel, with the exact date and time they downloaded. For more granular control, the Tracked downloads option on paid plans requires recipients to verify their email before accessing files, and logs each download event.
On an Ultimate plan, you can add a custom background image or color and a personal description to any individual transfer, so the download page reflects your brand rather than a plain interface. You can also set up a branded WeTransfer page with your own subdomain, logo, and rotating portfolio images or videos, giving clients a consistent, studio-quality first impression every time they receive your work.
On a free account, transfers are capped at 3 GB per transfer, which can be tight for RAW video or multi-camera shoots. On an Ultimate plan and above, there is no per-transfer size limit, so you can send a full shoot's worth of 4K footage in one go. Transfers on paid plans can also be kept active as long as you need them, rather than expiring after a few days.
