Before sending, enable download tracking in your transfer settings. For email transfers, you can see a checkmark next to each recipient's address once they download, including the exact date and time. On paid plans, you can also enable tracked downloads with email verification, giving you a detailed activity log of who accessed the transfer and when.


On the Ultimate plan, you can add a custom background image or color and a description to individual transfers, giving each delivery a polished, intentional feel. You can also build a branded WeTransfer page with your logo, custom subdomain, and branded notification emails, so every client touchpoint reflects your studio or agency identity.


No. WeTransfer sends files in their original format with no re-encoding and no resolution loss, including 4K footage. The file your client downloads is bit-for-bit identical to what you uploaded, so color grading, frame rates, and audio sync all stay intact.


Yes. With a link transfer, there is no recipient limit — you can share the download link with as many people as needed via email, chat, or any other channel. If you prefer email delivery, paid plans allow up to 50 recipients per transfer, which covers most agency review and approval workflows.


On the Ultimate plan, you can set transfers to never expire, so the download link stays active for as long as you need it. If a transfer does expire, Ultimate users can recover it even retroactively, including transfers that expired before upgrading. Free plan transfers expire after a maximum of three days and cannot be recovered, so for professional client delivery an Ultimate plan is the practical choice.
