No, your client can download and preview the transfer without signing up for anything. They just open the link or click through from the email you sent, and the files are right there waiting for them.
You can restrict access to specific email addresses, meaning only the people on your list can open the transfer. You can also add a password for an extra layer of protection — both options are available on all plans.
You can enable download tracking before you send, and WeTransfer will show you who downloaded the files and when. It's a simple way to confirm receipt without having to chase anyone for confirmation.
