There is no re-encoding or quality loss at any stage, which matters when a client needs to open a native CAD file or a precisely formatted specification. If you have a set of files organized in folders, WeTransfer can send the entire folder structure so your client receives everything in the same layout you prepared.
WeTransfer gives you two ways to control access. You can lock a transfer with a password and share that separately with your client, so only someone with both the link and the password can open it. For tighter control, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, so the files are only accessible after the recipient verifies their identity against that list. Both options are available on all plans and can be set before sending or adjusted afterward from your transfer settings.
Yes. Recipients can open a preview of the transfer directly in their browser without downloading anything first. PDFs, images, video walkthroughs, and audio files all display in-browser, and clients can comment on individual files or mark favorites, which keeps review feedback in one place rather than scattered across email. You can enable download tracking before sending, which gives you a notification when a recipient downloads your transfer along with the exact time it happened. For email transfers, you can see a per-recipient status directly in your Transfers panel, so you can tell whether each named contact on the project team has picked up the files. On a free account, individual transfers are capped at 3 GB, which covers many standard deliverable sets. On WeTransfer Ultimate, there is no transfer size limit, so you can send large BIM packages, full project archives, or bulk site photography in a single transfer without splitting files across multiple sends. In either case, WeTransfer uploads a copy of your files to its servers while your originals stay exactly where they are.
