Yes. Recipients can preview PDFs directly in the browser without downloading anything first. This makes it easy for clients to check they have the right document before saving it to their device. They can also comment on individual files or mark favorites within the transfer.


WeTransfer works with any file type, so you can send PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and more. Files are delivered exactly as uploaded, with no compression or conversion applied, so formatting stays intact on the receiving end.


You can enable download tracking before sending a transfer. Once active, you'll see a record of when the files were downloaded and by whom. It's a straightforward way to confirm receipt without having to chase a client for confirmation.


WeTransfer gives you a couple of options. You can add a password to the transfer so only someone with that password can access it, or you can restrict access to one or more specific email addresses. Both options are available on all plans and can be combined for extra security.


On a free account, transfers expire after a maximum of three days and cannot be recovered. On the Ultimate plan, you can set transfers to never expire, or recover any past transfer even if it already expired before you upgraded. This makes it much easier to handle clients who need to revisit documents weeks or months later.
