Getting your music, voiceover, or sound design to a client should feel as considered as the work itself. WeTransfer gives you a clean, branded way to share audio files — with the privacy controls and confirmation tools that serious client work demands.
Send files to clients, stress-free
Sending audio to clients is about more than moving files from one place to another. WeTransfer lets clients play back MP3 and WAV files directly in the browser, so they can confirm they have the right version and leave feedback before they ever download anything. Every transfer keeps your audio exactly as you recorded and mixed it, with no re-encoding and no quality loss, whether you are delivering a final master, a rough cut, or a full stem pack. You decide who can access the files: add a password to keep unreleased work confidential, or lock the transfer to a specific email address so it only opens for the person you intended. Enable download tracking before you send, and WeTransfer will notify you the moment your client accesses the transfer, so you can move the project forward without a chase email.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. Recipients can play back MP3 and WAV files (up to 300 MB each) directly in the browser without downloading anything first. They can also leave comments on individual files in the preview, which makes it easy for clients to flag a specific mix or time-stamped note without any back-and-forth over email.
WeTransfer supports any file type, including MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, AAC, and stem or session formats. In-browser playback is available for MP3 and WAV files. Larger or less common formats — like multi-track sessions or high-resolution archives — are delivered as-is, with no compression or re-encoding applied to any file.
Two access control options give you that protection. Password protection lets you lock the transfer so only someone with the password can open it — share that separately with your client. Restricted access goes further: you specify one or more email addresses, and the transfer only opens for people whose address matches your list. Both options are available on all plans and can be set before or after you send.
Before you send, enable download tracking in the transfer settings. WeTransfer will send you a notification as soon as your client downloads the files, and for email transfers you can see a checkmark with the exact date and time next to their address in your Transfers panel. It removes the guesswork and the need to follow up asking whether the files arrived.
On an Ultimate plan, you can set up a branded WeTransfer page with your own logo, background images or video, custom subdomain, and branded notification emails — so every client touchpoint carries your visual identity. You can also add a custom background and description to individual transfers, useful when you want to add context or credits to a specific audio delivery.
