No account needed on their end. Clients can open the download link, preview the files, and download everything directly in their browser. The whole experience is frictionless for them.
On the Ultimate plan, you can add a custom background image, your logo, and a personal description to each transfer. You can also set up a branded WeTransfer page with your own subdomain and custom emails, so every touchpoint with a client reflects your work.
WeTransfer has a download tracking feature you can enable when sending. Once active, you'll see a timestamp for when the transfer was accessed, so you know exactly when your client opened it without having to follow up.
You have two options. Password protection lets you lock the transfer behind a code that only your client knows. Restricted access goes a step further and ties the download link to one or more specific email addresses, so only those recipients can open it.
On a free account, transfers expire after three days and cannot be recovered. With an Ultimate plan, you can set transfers to never expire, and you can also recover expired transfers retroactively — even ones that expired before you upgraded.
