You can pair the transfer with a title and a message to give recipients context before they click through, whether you are sharing a client deliverable, a creative brief, or a batch of production assets. Every file downloads exactly as you uploaded it, with no re-encoding, no compression artefacts, and no reformatting along the way. If the contents are confidential, a password protects the transfer, and you can restrict access to a named list of addresses so only the people you intend to receive it can get through.

No account is needed to download. Your recipients click the link in their notification email and go straight to the download page. The files are yours to send and theirs to grab, with nothing standing between them and the download button.
On a free account you can send an email transfer to up to 10 recipients at once. On paid plans that goes up to 50 addresses per transfer. Every recipient gets their own notification email with an individual download link, so addresses are never exposed to one another.
WeTransfer accepts any file type, including videos, images, PDFs, audio files, design files, Office documents, 3D and CAD files, and ZIP archives. Files are never re-encoded, compressed, or altered in any way, so what you upload is exactly what your recipients download.
Yes. In your Transfers panel, each sent transfer shows whether it has been downloaded, and for email transfers a checkmark appears next to each recipient's address once they download. Hover over the checkmark to see the exact date and time. You can also enable download tracking before sending for more detailed notifications each time someone accesses the transfer.
On a free account, transfers are available for up to 3 days from the moment they are sent. With an Ultimate plan or above, you can set a custom expiry duration or keep transfers available indefinitely so recipients can download on their own schedule. You can also change the expiry date of any active transfer from your Transfers panel at any time.
