Send PDFs to any inbox, exactly as intended

PDF transfers belong in inboxes, not as bloated attachments that bounce or get blocked. Paste in your recipients' email addresses, add your files, and each person receives a notification email with their own download link. Your PDFs arrive intact, readable, and ready to open.

Deliver files to any inbox

Sharing PDFs by email often goes wrong before the message even lands: attachment limits kick in, files get flagged as spam, or the recipient ends up with a corrupted download. WeTransfer sidesteps all of that by hosting your PDFs and delivering a personal download link to each address you specify, keeping inboxes clean and files intact. You can add a subject and a short message so recipients know what they're opening before they click through, and everything downloads in its original state with no compression or reformatting applied. For sensitive documents like contracts, proposals, or signed agreements, a password adds a quick layer of protection, and restricted access lets you limit downloads to specific email addresses only. Recipients can also preview a PDF directly in the browser first, so they can skim the document before committing to the full download.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. WeTransfer does not compress, re-encode, or modify your files in any way during transit or storage. The PDF your recipient downloads is byte-for-byte the same as the one you uploaded, including embedded fonts, vector graphics, and form fields.

Yes. WeTransfer's in-browser preview lets recipients open and scroll through a PDF without downloading it first. That way they can confirm the document is what they need before saving a local copy, which is especially handy when sending multi-page contracts or detailed reports.

Yes. Before you send, you can add a title and a short message that appear in the notification email your recipients receive. It's a useful way to provide context, reference a project name, or flag which version of a document you're sending.

You have two options. You can add a password to the transfer and share it with your intended recipients separately, so anyone without it cannot access the files. Alternatively, restricted access lets you specify individual email addresses, and only people who match that list can open the download link after verifying their address.

You can send to up to 10 recipients in a single email transfer on a free account, and up to 50 on paid plans. Recipients never need a WeTransfer account to download, so there is nothing standing between them and the PDF you sent.
