Share photos by email, full quality every time

Attaching images to email is a gamble. Files get stripped, resized, or blocked before they reach anyone. With WeTransfer, you upload your photos, enter your recipients' addresses, and each person gets a notification email with their own download link. Your images arrive exactly as you shot or edited them.

Deliver files to any inbox

When you need to get images into someone's inbox without the usual attachment drama, WeTransfer handles delivery by hosting your files and sending each recipient a personal download link. Photos land in their original resolution with no re-encoding, no compression artifacts, and no color profile changes applied along the way. You can address multiple recipients at once, add a message for context, and pair the send with a password if the images are sensitive or intended for a specific audience. Recipients can preview images directly in the browser before downloading, so they can pick exactly what they need rather than pulling down an entire batch. For repeat image deliveries or client work, download tracking lets you confirm who has collected their copy and when.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

No. WeTransfer never resamples, re-encodes, or compresses your image files. Whether you are sending RAW files, high-resolution JPEGs, TIFFs, or layered PSDs, recipients download exactly what you uploaded, at the same file size and resolution. Nothing is touched between your upload and their download.

Yes. WeTransfer shows a browser-based preview for common image formats including JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, PSD, and most RAW formats. Recipients can browse the images without downloading a thing, mark favorites, and choose to download only the files they actually want. They do not need a WeTransfer account to preview or download.

On a free account you can send to up to 10 email addresses in a single transfer. Paid plans raise that to up to 50 recipients at once, each receiving their own notification email with a personal download link. If you need to share with a wider audience, you can also create a link transfer and distribute that link separately.

Yes. You can add a password before sending, so only recipients who know it can open the download. You can also enable restricted access to limit downloads to specific email addresses, useful when sharing personal or client photography you want to keep private. Both options are available on all plans.

WeTransfer accepts any file type, so you can send JPEGs, PNGs, TIFFs, GIFs, HEICs, PSDs, and RAW formats from cameras including ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, and more. Design files, ZIP archives containing image batches, and mixed transfers combining images with PDFs or other assets all travel just as well.
