Send files bigger than 25 MB straight to any inbox

Most email clients block large attachments before they ever reach the recipient. WeTransfer lets you add your recipients' addresses, upload your files at full size, and send each person a direct download notification, so nothing bounces, nothing gets stripped, and nobody has to sign in to get their files.

Deliver files to any inbox

Hitting the attachment limit is one of the most common frustrations when sharing work over email, and the usual workarounds, like compressing files or splitting them across multiple messages, add steps nobody asked for. WeTransfer hosts your files and sends a personal download notification to every inbox you specify, so large payloads reach recipients cleanly without touching a mail server's size restrictions. Files arrive exactly as you uploaded them, with no re-encoding, no resolution loss, and no changes to folder structure, whether you are sharing design assets, presentation decks, audio sessions, or high-resolution images. Recipients can preview many file types directly in the browser before deciding what to download, and they do not need a WeTransfer account to access anything. For transfers that need a bit more control, you can lock access with a password or restrict the download to a specific list of email addresses.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Most email providers cap attachments somewhere between 10 MB and 25 MB, and anything over that limit either bounces or gets silently blocked before it reaches the recipient. WeTransfer hosts your files instead of embedding them in the message, then delivers a clean download link to each inbox you specify, so the size of your files never affects delivery.

No account is needed to download or preview a transfer. Recipients click the notification email they receive, open the download page, and get their files directly in their browser. Creating an account is only required for sending.

Yes. When sending via email, you can add multiple recipient addresses and each person gets their own download notification. Free accounts support up to 10 recipients per transfer, while paid plans support up to 50.

WeTransfer tracks download activity on all plans. In your Transfers panel, each email transfer shows whether a recipient has downloaded and when. You can also enable more detailed tracking before sending, which notifies you each time someone accesses the transfer and logs exactly who downloaded and at what time.

On a free account, transfers are available for up to 3 days from the moment they are sent. On an Ultimate plan, you can set a custom expiry or keep files available indefinitely, which is useful if you need recipients to be able to return to a download weeks after you sent it.
