Send font files to any inbox, no attachment hassle

Font files are fussy to share by email. Attach them directly and you risk bounced messages, stripped files, or recipients who can't open what arrives. With WeTransfer, you enter each address, upload your fonts, and everyone on your list gets a personal download notification linking straight to the original files.

Deliver files to any inbox

Type designers, studio teams, and anyone licensing or delivering fonts face the same wall: mail servers block unfamiliar file types, and asking clients to dig through a shared drive is nobody's idea of a smooth handoff. WeTransfer hosts your font files and delivers a clean, individual download notification to every address you add, so nothing gets swallowed by a spam filter or blocked by a size limit. Your OTF, TTF, WOFF, or ZIP packages arrive exactly as you uploaded them, with no compression and no changes to the files themselves. Add a title and a message to the transfer so recipients know which typeface family they're receiving and any installation notes before they click through. If you're delivering to a client or sharing proprietary typefaces, a password keeps the transfer locked, and you can restrict access to a specific list of addresses so only the right people can download.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. WeTransfer accepts any file type, including OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2, and font ZIP packages containing entire families. Files are delivered exactly as you uploaded them, with no compression or modification, so recipients install exactly what you sent.

From the WeTransfer homepage, add your font files, enter your recipients' email addresses, and optionally include a title and a note. WeTransfer hosts the files and sends each recipient a download notification in their inbox with a link to get the files. You need a free WeTransfer account to send; recipients don't need one to download.

You can send to up to 10 email addresses per transfer on a free account. If you need to reach more people at once, paid plans raise that limit to 50 recipients per email transfer. For larger audiences, you can also generate a shareable download link and distribute it however you like, with no recipient cap.

Yes. You can add a password to any transfer before or after sending, so only recipients who know it can download the files. You can also restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, meaning anyone else who opens the link simply won't get through. Both options are available on all plans.

Yes. For email transfers, WeTransfer marks each recipient with a checkmark once they download, and you can hover over it to see the exact date and time. You can view this in your Transfers panel at any point after sending.
