WeTransfer supports any file type, so you can send PSD, PSB, AI, INDD, Sketch, Figma exports, XD files, SVG, EPS, PDF, ZIP archives, 3D and CAD files, and more. There are no format restrictions. Whatever comes out of your design tool goes in as-is.
No. WeTransfer uses lossless storage, so nothing is re-encoded, resampled, or modified in any way. A layered PSD arrives with every layer intact, a packaged InDesign folder keeps its linked assets, and a high-resolution export stays at full resolution. What you upload is exactly what your recipient downloads.
Recipients can preview JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PSD, and several RAW formats directly in the browser without downloading anything first. They can also leave comments on individual files and mark favorites, which makes async design reviews easy. For formats that don't support in-browser preview, the file is still available to download immediately.
On a free account you can send an email transfer to up to 10 recipients at once. Paid plans raise that to 50 recipients per transfer. Each person receives their own notification email with a personal download link, and they never see each other's addresses.
Two options give you control after the transfer is sent. Password protection requires anyone opening the link to enter a code you share separately. Restricted access goes further by limiting downloads to specific email addresses only, so even someone with the link can't get in unless their address is on your list. Both options are available on all plans and can be set before you send or updated after.
