Once the upload finishes, WeTransfer generates a unique URL you can copy and share wherever you like. Anyone with the link can open it in a browser and download your files without needing a WeTransfer account.

Before sharing, you can add a password to the transfer so only people who know it can access the download. If you want tighter control, the restricted access option lets you limit downloads to a specific list of email addresses. Neither option requires any extra setup from the recipient beyond entering the password or verifying their email.
On a free account, transfer links are available for up to 3 days from the moment you send them. On the Ultimate plan and above, you can set a custom expiry date or keep the transfer available indefinitely. You can also adjust the expiry of an active transfer at any time from your Transfers panel.
