Finish a design, upload it to WeTransfer, and get a link you can drop anywhere — a Slack thread, a client email, a Notion page, or a project brief. No plugins, no shared permissions, no account needed on the receiving end.
One link, instant access
Designers frequently need to hand off Figma files to developers, clients, or collaborators who may not have Figma access at all, and a direct download link is often the cleanest solution. WeTransfer generates a unique link the moment your upload finishes, so you can share exported Figma files, component libraries, or bundled asset folders through whatever channel the project already uses. Every file lands exactly as you exported it, with no compression or quality loss, so your vectors, grids, and color values stay intact from your machine to theirs. Recipients can open the link in any browser and download straight away, and if you have included supporting assets like style guides or PDF specs alongside the Figma export, they can preview those files in the browser before deciding what to grab. For work in progress or files containing unreleased designs, you can add a password or restrict access to specific email addresses before you share the link.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Export your Figma file or frames to your preferred format, then go to wetransfer.com, add your files, and switch to the link transfer option before clicking Transfer. Once the upload finishes, WeTransfer gives you a unique URL you can paste anywhere — a client email, a Slack message, a Notion doc, or a project management tool. Anyone who receives the link can download directly from their browser without signing up.
WeTransfer accepts any file type, so every format Figma can export is supported: PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, and the native .fig file format. You can also bundle multiple exports into a folder and upload the whole thing, and recipients will download it with the original folder structure intact. Nothing is re-encoded or altered in transit, so your vectors and assets arrive exactly as they left Figma.
Yes. A WeTransfer download link has no platform requirement on the recipient side — they just click the link and download. This makes it a practical option when handing off to developers, clients, print vendors, or anyone else who needs the files but does not work inside Figma. No account, no plugin, and no permissions to manage.
Before sharing, you can add a password to the transfer so only people who know it can access the download. You can also enable restricted access, which limits downloads to a list of specific email addresses you define. Both options are available on all plans and can be set or updated from your Transfers panel even after the link has been sent.
On a free account, links are available for up to 3 days from the moment the transfer is sent. On an Ultimate plan, you can set a custom expiry — anything from a single day to never — so a link for an ongoing client project can stay live for as long as the work continues. You can also adjust the expiry date of an active transfer at any time from your Transfers panel.
