Send your first transfer

One link, instant access

Designers often need a faster, cleaner way to hand off work than email attachments or asking clients to log into yet another platform. WeTransfer gives you a unique download link the moment your upload finishes, ready to drop wherever your recipients already are. Your files arrive exactly as you built them, whether that is a layered PSD, a Figma export, a high-resolution vector, a 3D or CAD file, or a folder of assets organized exactly as your team expects. Recipients can preview images and PDFs directly in the browser before deciding what to download, and they can leave comments on individual files without needing an account. If you are sharing work in progress or a client-only draft, you can lock the link with a password or restrict access to specific email addresses before sending.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

WeTransfer works with any file type, including PSD and PSB files, Figma exports, AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, RAW image formats, 3D and CAD files, ZIP archives, and more. Nothing is re-encoded or altered during the transfer, so your layers, color profiles, and file structure arrive exactly as you saved them.

Yes. WeTransfer supports full folder uploads, and recipients download them with the original folder hierarchy preserved. That means organized asset packs, font folders, or multi-layer project directories travel exactly as structured, with no manual rezipping required on your end.

Recipients can preview images, PDFs, and certain other supported formats directly in the browser, so a client can check a visual or review a PDF spec sheet without downloading everything first. They can also comment on individual files and mark favorites, which makes early-stage feedback rounds much smoother.

Link transfers have no recipient limit, so you can paste the same URL into a client email, a team Slack channel, or a project management tool and everyone can access the files. If you need to control exactly who downloads, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses or add a password to the link.

On a free account, links stay active for up to 3 days. On Ultimate and above, you can set a custom expiry or keep transfers available indefinitely. If a link has already expired, Ultimate subscribers can recover it even retroactively, which is useful when a client circles back to an old project handoff.
