No, WeTransfer sends files exactly as they are. Your Excel workbooks, CSVs, and other spreadsheet formats arrive on the other end byte-for-byte identical to what you uploaded. Formulas, formatting, macros, and data structures are all preserved.
Yes. WeTransfer supports folder uploads, so if your spreadsheets are sorted into subfolders by project, quarter, or department, you can upload the whole folder structure at once. Recipients download everything with the original organization intact.
You have a couple of options. You can add a password to the transfer so only people with the password can access it. You can also restrict access to specific email addresses, meaning only those recipients can open the download link. Both options are available on all plans.
There is no set limit on the number of files. The main constraint is total transfer size: free accounts support up to 3 GB per transfer, which covers a large batch of spreadsheets in most cases.
