No. WeTransfer never compresses or re-encodes your files. Whatever you upload is exactly what your recipient downloads, whether that's a 4K ProRes master, a RAW camera file, or an H.265 export. The footage arrives in the same format, at the same resolution, as it left your machine.
WeTransfer works with any file type, so there are no restrictions on video format. MP4, MOV, MXF, ProRes, BRAW, R3D, AVI, and anything else your camera or editing software produces will transfer without issue. You don't need to convert or repackage anything before uploading.

On a free account, transfers expire after a maximum of three days. If you need footage to stay available longer, for example for a client reviewing an edit across a longer window, upgrading to Ultimate gives you full control over expiry.
