Sending video over email means attachment limits, automatic compression, and quality you never get back. WeTransfer moves your footage straight from the browser to your recipient, exactly as you shot or edited it. No re-encoding, no resolution loss, no software to install.
No file is too big
When a project wraps, the hardest part shouldn't be getting the files to the people who need them. WeTransfer handles video at full fidelity, whether you're sending a rough cut, a graded master, or raw camera files in ProRes, H.264, or any other format your workflow produces. Every transfer gets a unique download link your recipient can open on any device without signing up, and compatible video files can be previewed right in the browser before anyone commits to a full download. If you're delivering to multiple collaborators, you can share that same link as widely as you need, or lock it down with a password or a restricted access list for sensitive work. Upgrading to Ultimate removes the transfer size ceiling entirely, so even the heaviest multi-clip deliveries go out in a single send.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Sign in at wetransfer.com, add your video file, then choose whether to send it directly to someone's inbox or generate a shareable download link. Either way, the upload goes to WeTransfer's servers and your recipient gets a link they can open in any browser, no account needed. The whole process takes a couple of minutes, and your original file stays exactly where it is on your device.
No. WeTransfer transfers your video exactly as it is, without altering the codec, bitrate, resolution, or any other property. A 4K ProRes file arrives on the other end as a 4K ProRes file. The only packaging that happens is zipping multiple files together for download convenience, which is lossless and doesn't affect video quality.
Yes. Recipients can preview compatible video files, including MP4 and MOV files up to 300 MB, directly in their browser without downloading anything. They can also comment on individual files and mark favorites, which makes early-stage reviews much faster. If they only want specific clips from a larger transfer, they can download those individually rather than pulling everything down at once.
Free accounts support transfers up to 3 GB per send, with up to 10 transfers per rolling 30-day window, and links stay active for up to 3 days. If you're working with longer cuts, raw footage, or deliverables that push past that, Ultimate removes the per-transfer size limit entirely. Ultimate also lets you set custom expiry dates, including keeping transfers active indefinitely, and you can recover any expired transfer if a client comes back for files later.
Yes. WeTransfer supports folder uploads, and the folder structure you upload is exactly what your recipient downloads. If you've organized a project into subfolders by scene, format, or date, those labels and relationships arrive intact, which saves everyone the work of sorting through a flat pile of files.
