No. WeTransfer sends every file exactly as it left your computer, with no re-encoding, no resolution loss, and no format conversion. A 50 MB RAW file arrives as a 50 MB RAW file. The preview your recipient sees in the browser is displayed at slightly reduced resolution to load quickly, but the file they download is untouched.
WeTransfer handles any file type, including JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PSD, RAW formats such as ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, and more. You can also send entire folders and the recipient downloads them with your original folder structure intact, which is useful when delivering a full shoot organized by scene or location.
Yes. Recipients never need an account to download or preview files you send them. They simply click the link or the download button in the notification email, and the files are theirs. Only the sender needs a free WeTransfer account.
Yes. With a link transfer, you create one shareable download link and pass it to as many people as you like, with no recipient cap on the link itself. If you prefer to send directly to inboxes, email delivery supports up to 10 recipients on a free account and up to 50 on paid plans. Either way, everyone gets access to the same full-quality files.
