On Ultimate and above, there is no per-transfer size cap, so you can send a single large payload, such as an uncompressed video project or a full camera card dump, without hitting a ceiling. Free accounts also have a monthly transfer quota, while Ultimate removes that restriction entirely.
No. WeTransfer sends your files exactly as they are, with no compression, no re-encoding, and no resolution loss. A 4K video file arrives at the other end as a 4K video file, and a RAW image stays a RAW image. The zip packaging WeTransfer uses when bundling multiple files is lossless, so the contents are never changed.
WeTransfer accepts any file type: video, audio, images, PDFs, ZIP archives, Office documents, design files, 3D and CAD files, and more. Recipients download the original files and open them with whatever software they already use. WeTransfer does not impose any format restrictions on what you can upload.
No account is needed to download. Your recipient gets a unique link and can open it on any device, in any browser, and download straight away. They can also preview images, video, audio, and PDFs in the browser first, so they can check the contents before committing to the full download.
On a free account, transfers are available for up to 3 days. On Ultimate and above, you can set any expiry you like or keep the transfer live indefinitely. You can also adjust the expiry date on an active transfer at any time from your Transfers panel, and Ultimate subscribers can recover transfers that have already expired.
