Big files, sent from your browser in minutes

Email attachments tap out well before your files do. WeTransfer lets you send heavy files, including video exports, RAW images, audio sessions, design packages, and archives, straight from any browser at full original quality. No software to install, and whoever you send to can download without creating an account.

No file is too big

Sending a file over 1 GB shouldn't require a workaround. WeTransfer handles large files directly in the browser, moving them to any recipient without compressing, re-encoding, or altering a single byte of the original. Every transfer generates a unique download link you can share via email, chat, or anywhere else, and recipients can preview supported images, video, audio, and PDFs before deciding what to pull down. For work that needs tighter control, you can lock any transfer with a password or restrict downloads to a specific list of email addresses, keeping pre-release or confidential files where they belong. When your payloads grow beyond free-tier headroom, WeTransfer Ultimate removes the per-transfer size ceiling so even the heaviest professional deliveries go through without breaking stride.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

On a free account you can send up to 3 GB per transfer. If you regularly move larger files, WeTransfer Ultimate removes the per-transfer size cap entirely, so a 50 GB video archive or a full RAW shoot goes through the same way a smaller file would. There is no compression or quality loss at any tier.

No. WeTransfer sends your files exactly as they are, with no re-encoding, no resolution reduction, and no quality loss. A 4K video export arrives at the other end identical to what you uploaded, and the same applies to RAW image files, lossless audio, and any other format you send.

WeTransfer supports any file type: video, RAW and high-resolution images, audio, PDFs, ZIP archives, 3D and CAD files, layered design files, Office documents, and more. There are no format restrictions. If you can put it in a folder on your computer, you can send it.

Yes. You can upload an entire folder and recipients download it with the original folder structure intact. This is useful for delivering a full shoot, a project package with subfolders, or a layered asset library without having to reorganise anything before sending.

No account is needed to download. Recipients open the link, accept the terms, and download, whether that is a single file or a multi-gigabyte package. They can also preview supported images, video, audio, and PDFs directly in the browser before downloading, so they can pick exactly what they need from a large transfer without pulling everything down first.
