WeTransfer sends any file type without modification, so DWG, DXF, RVT, IFC, DGN, and PDF drawing exports all transfer exactly as they are. There is no re-encoding or format conversion at any point. Your recipient downloads the file in the same state it left your machine.
A free WeTransfer account supports transfers up to 3 GB per transfer, with up to 10 transfers per rolling 30-day window. If you're working with large Revit models, multi-discipline drawing sets, or full project archives that exceed that, upgrading to Ultimate removes the per-transfer size limit entirely and gives you 2 TB of storage to work with.
Yes. You can send a drawing package to multiple recipients in one transfer. With email delivery, free accounts support up to 10 recipients per transfer, and paid plans raise that to 50. Alternatively, a link transfer gives you a single download URL you can share with an entire project team, a client, or a subcontractor group, with no recipient cap on the link itself.
You can restrict access to a transfer so that only people on a specified list of email addresses can download it. Anyone else who opens the link is blocked. You can also add a password as an extra layer, which is useful when sharing sensitive structural or services drawings with consultants outside your organization.
On a free account, transfers are available for up to 3 days from the moment they are sent. If your project runs longer and you need drawings to remain accessible throughout construction, upgrading to Ultimate lets you set a custom expiry or keep transfers live indefinitely. Ultimate also lets you recover any expired transfer you have ever sent, which is useful when a subcontractor needs to re-download superseded drawings for records.
