Yes. WeTransfer does not compress, re-encode, or alter your files in any way. A 2 GB layered Photoshop file or an Illustrator document with embedded assets arrives on the other end exactly as it left your machine, with every layer, swatch, and linked resource intact.
WeTransfer works with any file type you can throw at it — PSD, PSB, AI, INDD, Sketch exports, Figma exports, high-res TIFF and PNG, 3D and CAD files, ZIP archives, and anything else you use in your creative workflow. There are no format restrictions, so you never have to convert or repackage your work before sending.
Recipients can preview images and PDFs directly in the browser without downloading anything first. That means a client can check a high-res mockup, scan through a PDF presentation, or confirm the right version is attached before committing to a download, which is handy when they're reviewing on a phone or a slower connection.
You can add a password to any transfer before sending, which means only recipients who have the password can access the files. Alternatively, you can restrict the transfer to a specific list of email addresses, so even if the link gets forwarded it cannot be opened by anyone not on your list. Both options are available on all plans and can be set up in seconds.
On the free plan, you can send up to 3 GB per transfer. If your workflow regularly involves heavy asset bundles, full brand delivery packages, or large 3D and RAW files that push beyond that, upgrading to Ultimate removes the per-transfer size cap entirely, so you can send as much as a single project demands without splitting files across multiple transfers.
