Yes. WeTransfer never re-encodes or compresses your video files during upload or delivery, so a 4K master, a ProRes export, or any other high-bitrate format arrives exactly as it left your machine. What your client or media buyer downloads is a bit-for-bit copy of what you sent, with no resolution loss and no codec changes.


Yes, for compatible formats like MP4 and MOV (up to 300 MB). Recipients can watch the video directly in the browser before downloading anything, which is useful when a client needs to approve a cut quickly or a media buyer wants to confirm the right version before pulling down a large file. They can also leave comments on the preview, making feedback rounds faster.


You have a couple of options. Adding a password means only recipients who know it can access the files, and you share that password separately outside of WeTransfer. For tighter control, restricted access lets you specify a list of email addresses, so only those exact people can download after verifying their identity. Both options are available on all plans and can be set or updated after the transfer is already sent.


Free accounts can send up to 3 GB per transfer, which covers a lot of compressed video but can fall short for uncompressed masters, multi-clip deliveries, or full campaign asset packages. Upgrading to Ultimate removes the per-transfer size cap entirely, so you can send a single heavy package regardless of how large it grows. Ultimate also lets you set a custom expiry or keep a transfer live indefinitely, which is useful when a campaign runs for weeks and clients need ongoing access.


Yes, in two ways. A link transfer gives you a single URL you can paste into a Slack message, a campaign brief, or a group email, and anyone with the link can download without a recipient cap. If you prefer direct email delivery, you can send to up to 10 recipients on a free account or up to 50 on a paid plan. Both approaches let everyone access the same files without you needing to send separate transfers.
