WeTransfer Sign works with any PDF, so it covers the full range of retail paperwork: supplier and vendor contracts, store lease agreements, franchise documents, seasonal employment contracts, staff policy acknowledgments, promotional consent forms, and wholesale purchase agreements. As long as the document is a PDF, you can upload it, place signature and date fields for each party, and send it for signing in a few minutes.


No account is required on the recipient side. When you send a document through WeTransfer Sign, each signer receives a personal link by email. They click the link, verify their identity with a one-time code sent to their inbox, and sign directly in the browser — no software to download and no registration needed. This keeps things frictionless whether you are onboarding a new staff member or getting a supplier to countersign a contract.


Yes. When you set up a document in WeTransfer Sign, you can assign signature fields to multiple signers, and each person receives their own private signing link. This makes it straightforward to manage documents where more than one party needs to sign, such as a franchise agreement between a franchisor and franchisee, or a vendor deal involving a buyer and an account manager. You can monitor who has signed and who has not from the tracking view.


WeTransfer Sign provides a Simple Electronic Signature (SES) under EU eIDAS, which also qualifies as an electronic signature under the U.S. Federal E-Sign Act. This level is appropriate for a wide range of everyday retail agreements, including employment contracts, supplier terms, and franchise documents. For transactions that legally require an Advanced or Qualified Electronic Signature, you should confirm the requirements with a legal adviser before using any e-signature tool.


WeTransfer Sign is entirely free to use with no limits on the number of documents you can send for signing, and there is no subscription required. Signature transfers are tracked completely separately from your regular WeTransfer file-sending activity, so using Sign has no impact on your transfer quota. Signed documents remain accessible via the original signing link for one year after the signature process is completed.
