No account is needed to sign. Your recipient clicks the link in the email, enters the verification code WeTransfer Sign sends to their address, and signs directly in their browser. It works on any device, including a phone on site, without downloading an app or registering.
WeTransfer Sign provides a Simple Electronic Signature (SES) under EU eIDAS and an electronic signature under the U.S. Federal E-Sign Act. This level of signature is widely accepted for the kinds of commercial agreements common in construction. Specific legal requirements vary by jurisdiction and document type, so check with your legal team for anything that demands a higher level of authentication, such as a Qualified Electronic Signature.
