The preview plays at a slightly lower resolution than the original, so your team can confirm it is the right version before pulling the full file. Commenters can also leave feedback on individual files in the preview, keeping notes tied to the content rather than scattered across a separate thread.
No. WeTransfer sends your video files exactly as they are, with no re-encoding, no resolution loss, and no compression that alters the content. A 4K video arrives at the other end as a 4K video. The only packaging that happens is a lossless ZIP when multiple files are bundled together, and that does not affect the files inside.
You have two access control options available on all plans. Restricted downloads limit the transfer to a specific list of verified email addresses, so anyone outside that list is turned away when they open the link. Tracked downloads require any link visitor to verify their email before viewing, giving you a notification each time someone accesses the file. You can also add a password to any transfer, which must be shared with recipients separately and is not included in the notification email.
