Design work is sensitive. Figma files carry brand decisions, unreleased product work, and client concepts that should only reach the people you choose. WeTransfer sends every file under strong encryption, gives you precise control over who can open each transfer, and brings your whole team into a shared workspace with centralized oversight.
A secure space for your team
When you share Figma files across a team, you need confidence that the right people see them and nobody else does. WeTransfer encrypts all files with TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest, holds ISO 27001 certification, and is fully GDPR-compliant, with Data Processing Agreements available on business plans and data stored on EU-based AWS servers in Ireland. Every transfer can be locked with a password, restricted to a verified list of approved email addresses, or configured with download tracking so you have a clear record of who accessed a file and when. Recipients can preview supported file types directly in the browser and leave comments on individual files, which keeps feedback tight and reduces how many times a Figma export actually lands on someone's device. For design organizations that need stronger governance, a shared workspace centralizes team management, billing, and branding, and Enterprise adds SSO, advanced access management, custom transfer rules, and usage logs.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. When you upload a transfer, you can enable restricted access and provide a list of approved email addresses. Anyone who opens the link must verify their email before being granted access, and only addresses on your list get through. You can edit that list after sending, and changes take effect immediately.
WeTransfer accepts any file type without altering the content, so exported Figma assets including PNGs, JPEGs, PDFs, and ZIP archives all transfer exactly as exported. For formats that support in-browser preview, such as images and PDFs, recipients can review the files before downloading and leave comments on individual files, which is useful for design feedback rounds.
When you enable download tracking on a transfer, recipients verify their email address before downloading and you receive a notification each time someone accesses the files, including their name and a timestamp. This gives you a clear audit trail for Figma exports shared with external clients or stakeholders, without requiring them to create an account.
A shared workspace gives every team member their own account under one roof, with workspace admins able to view and manage all transfers sent by the team. Billing and branding are centralized, so your WeTransfer page and transfer emails reflect the studio or agency rather than individual accounts. For larger organizations, Enterprise adds SSO, advanced access management, and usage logs for teams with formal security policies.
No. WeTransfer does not open, view, sell, or share your files, and your content is never used to train AI models. Files are stored only for the duration the transfer is active and are permanently deleted from WeTransfer's servers once they expire or are manually deleted by the sender.
