WeTransfer is ISO 27001 certified and fully GDPR-compliant, and Data Processing Agreements are available on business plans. No WeTransfer staff view your files, and your content is never sold to third parties or used to train AI.
Yes. When creating a transfer, you can enable Restricted access, which limits downloads to a list of email addresses you specify. Anyone who opens the link must verify their email first, and access is only granted if their address matches your list. You can also add or remove addresses from that list after the transfer has already been sent, directly from the transfer details page.
You can enable download tracking on any transfer before sending. Once active, you receive a notification each time someone downloads the files, with a name, email address, and timestamp recorded in the transfer activity log. For workspace administrators on Enterprise plans, usage logs provide a broader audit trail of transfer activity across the entire organization.
WeTransfer supports any file type without compression or quality loss, including spreadsheets, CSVs, PDFs, Office documents, and ZIP archives.
