Charge for your ZIP files before anyone downloads

Designers, developers, and digital creators can now attach a price to any ZIP transfer and keep the contents locked until the buyer pays. One link handles both the sale and the delivery, with payment processed through Stripe and every cent going to you.

Get paid for your work

If you package and sell digital assets as ZIP archives, getting paid and handing over the files no longer need to be separate steps. WeTransfer's paid transfers let you set a price when creating any transfer, so your ZIP stays locked behind a Stripe checkout until payment is complete. Files are delivered exactly as you compressed them, with no alteration, no re-encoding, and no quality loss, whether your archive contains fonts, templates, design systems, code packages, or high-resolution assets. Recipients see a clean download page and pay before the ZIP becomes accessible, so there is no risk of files slipping through before payment clears. Paid transfers are available on all WeTransfer plans and run from a desktop browser.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

When creating a transfer from a desktop browser, you will find an option to set a price before clicking Transfer. Add your ZIP file, enter the amount you want to charge, and share the link with your buyer. The file stays locked until the buyer completes checkout through Stripe, at which point WeTransfer releases the download automatically.

No. WeTransfer charges no platform fee on paid transfers. The full amount your buyer pays goes to you, minus any standard Stripe payment processing fees. You keep everything WeTransfer collects on your behalf.

ZIP archives themselves are not previewable, so buyers will see the transfer page and your transfer title or description rather than the file contents before paying. To give buyers confidence in what they are purchasing, add a clear title and any relevant details when you create the transfer.

No. Recipients do not need a WeTransfer account to pay or download. They simply open your link, complete the Stripe checkout, and the ZIP download becomes available immediately. Only the sender needs an account to create a paid transfer.

Any downloadable content you want to bundle and sell fits naturally into a ZIP transfer: font packs, icon sets, UI kits, code libraries, Lightroom presets, Procreate brush sets, photography bundles, game assets, and more. Files are delivered exactly as you packaged them, with no compression or modification applied by WeTransfer.
