Get paid for your photos before clients download them

Photographers and videographers can now price any transfer and keep files locked until payment clears. Share a single link with your client, they pay through Stripe, and the download unlocks automatically — with every cent going directly to you.

Get paid for your work

Chasing invoices after delivery is one of the most frustrating parts of working as a photographer or videographer. Paid transfers let you attach a price at the moment you create a transfer, so your images and footage stay behind a Stripe checkout until the buyer pays. Files are sent exactly as you shot and exported them — full-resolution JPEGs, RAW files, 4K video, multi-shot galleries, or entire project folders — with no compression, no re-encoding, and no quality loss whatsoever. Clients can preview supported image and video formats in the browser before committing, so they arrive at checkout having already seen the work. Paid transfers are available on all WeTransfer plans and work from a desktop browser, with no platform fee taken by WeTransfer.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

When creating a transfer on desktop, you'll find the option to set a price in the transfer settings panel before you hit send. Once you add a price, your files stay locked behind a Stripe checkout — the download link only activates after payment is complete. The feature is available on all WeTransfer plans and works from a desktop browser.

No. WeTransfer charges no platform fee on paid transfers, so the full amount your client pays goes to you. Payments are processed through Stripe, so standard Stripe transaction fees may apply depending on your country and payment method — but nothing extra goes to WeTransfer.

Yes. Recipients can view supported image and video formats directly in the browser before the download unlocks. That means a client can browse through your work, confirm it matches the brief, and then pay — reducing disputes and back-and-forth after the fact.

You can include any file type in a paid transfer — JPEGs, TIFFs, RAW formats such as ARW, NEF, CR2, and DNG, MP4s, MOV files, multi-clip archives, and more. Files are delivered exactly as you uploaded them, with no alteration or resolution loss, so a 4K video or a high-resolution RAW file arrives with every pixel intact.

WeTransfer sends you a download notification once the recipient has completed their purchase and downloaded the transfer. You can also check the status of any transfer from your Transfers panel, where sent transfers show whether they have been downloaded — giving you a clear record for each delivery.
