Sell your fonts directly from a share link

WeTransfer lets you attach a price to any font transfer, keeping your files locked behind a Stripe checkout until payment clears. Set your own price, share one link, and the full amount comes to you — WeTransfer charges no platform fee.

Get paid for your work

Type designers and independent foundries often send font files before the invoice is settled, which leaves payment entirely on trust. Paid transfers change that by folding the checkout directly into your download link — your fonts are inaccessible until the buyer pays through Stripe, so delivery and payment happen in the same step. Your files arrive exactly as you packaged them, whether that means OTF, TTF, WOFF, ZIP archives with full font families, or PDF specimen sheets, without any compression or modification. Buyers can preview supported files in the browser before committing, so they can review specimen PDFs or read-me documents with confidence before reaching the payment screen. Paid transfers are available on all WeTransfer plans, require no platform fee from WeTransfer, and work from a desktop browser.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

From a desktop browser, upload your font files to a new transfer and look for the paid transfer option in the transfer settings panel. Enter your price, and WeTransfer generates a link that routes buyers through a Stripe checkout before the download becomes available. Once payment goes through, the files unlock automatically — no manual steps required on your end.

No. WeTransfer charges no platform fee on paid transfers, so the full amount your buyer pays goes directly to you via Stripe. Stripe's own standard processing fees still apply, but nothing is deducted by WeTransfer on top of that.

You can include any file type in a paid transfer — OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2, ZIP archives containing full font families, PDF specimens, licensing documents, and read-me files all work without any conversion or quality loss. Files are delivered exactly as you uploaded them.

Yes. Buyers can preview supported file types — including PDFs — directly in the browser before reaching the payment screen. This lets them review your specimen sheet or license terms without accessing the actual font files, which stay locked until payment is complete.

No. Recipients can open the transfer link, complete payment through Stripe, and download the files without creating a WeTransfer account. You do need an account to send a paid transfer, but your buyers have no account requirement on their end.
